Summary:
The Widowed or Surviving Civil Partner Grant is a one-time payment provided to widows, widowers, or surviving civil partners who have dependent children. The grant is also available to a widow or a surviving civil partner whose child is born within 10 months of the death of their spouse or civil partner.

This grant is for widows, widowers, or surviving civil partners who have one or more dependent children living with them at the date of death. The applicant must also qualify for one of the listed pensions or payments, such as Widow’s, Widower’s or Surviving Civil Partner’s (Contributory) Pension, One-Parent Family Payment, Death Benefit Scheme, etc.
Funding Amount:
The grant is a one-off payment of €8,000.
