Summary:
The Tillage Incentive Scheme (TIS) is a support measure introduced to reduce dependency on imported feed material. The scheme incentivizes farmers to increase the eligible tillage area in 2022 and 2023. Farmers who received a payment for Newly Converted Lands under TIS 2023 and continue to maintain their overall area in tillage/protein in scheme year 2024 will be eligible for a maintenance payment.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have received a payment under the Tillage Incentive Scheme (TIS) 2023 Newly Converted Lands payment and must maintain the overall area under Tillage/Protein as grown in 2023, into scheme year 2024. They must comply with the conditions of the Tillage Incentive Scheme.
Funding Amount:
A rate of €200 is payable for each eligible hectare. Payments are expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024.
How to Apply:
Applicants who wish to be considered must submit a valid BISS online application form in 2024 in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of BISS 2024. No separate application for TIS 2024 is required.
